Digital Rights Advocacy (DRA) - Uganda is a charity organization established in 2023 with a mission to proactively address and fight for digital rights in Uganda.

Digital rights encompass the fundamental human rights that apply to individuals' use of digital technologies and the internet, including freedom of expression, privacy, security, and access to information.

Our mission is to build a free and safe Uganda by providing a holistic response to digital rights threats and creating resilient networks to support the fight for fundamental human rights in the digital age.

DRA offers advocacy for digital rights, training, public awareness campaigns, policy analysis, research, and empowerment initiatives. We also provide assistance and resources to combat digital threats.

You can support us through various means, including training and campaigns, fighting internet shutdowns, contributing to research, participating in advocacy efforts, and donating to our cause.

DRA advocates against internet shutdowns and works to hold governments and internet service providers accountable for unjustified restrictions on internet access. We also provide resources to help users circumvent shutdowns and stay connected.

We provide resources, training, and support to empower individuals and organizations to enhance their digital security and protect against cyber threats, surveillance, and data breaches.

DRA conducts research, policy analysis, and advocacy to promote the adoption of inclusive and rights-respecting ICT policies in Uganda, working closely with government stakeholders and civil society organizations.
